TERMS & CONDITIONS

 At Hillcrest Cat Motel we will do our very best to ensure that a high standard of care is maintained for your pet(s) with regard to their health, safety and happiness. Should your pet(s) become unwell during their stay it will be necessary to seek MEDICAL ADVICE. If unable to consult your veterinarian (as stated on your online profile) we will take your cat(s) to our consulting Vet Dr. Simon Nelson & Assoc at Animal Health Centre, Lower Hutt or to the After-Hours Emergency Clinic at Ngauraunga (if required) where we will be guided by the attending vet.

Please be advised that by signing the Registration Form you are authorising us to take the initiative to seek consultation for your cat(s) for costs up to $350.00. For Consults/treatment/surgery OVER $350.00 or a more serious illness, attempts will be made to contact you or your contact person for course of action that will be required or other decisions that may need to be made. Hillcrest Cat Motel will not accept liability for Veterinarian costs and decisions. All Veterinarian costs will be AT THE OWNER’S EXPENSE and added to your account for settlement on your return. Hillcrest Cat Motel will charge for transportation to and from the Vet, this is to cover petrol costs and time spent seeking treatment. Current charges are on the website.

Our FELINE FLU INOCULATION POLICY is that Feline Flu Inoculations MUST be administered on a YEARLY CYCLE, administered within the 12 month period prior to boarding, any boosters due MUST have also been administered and we require 10 CLEAR days after inoculation/booster before your cat can enter our cattery. Please ensure that FLEA AND WORMING TREATMENTS are up to date. A flea treatment 4 - 5 days before arrival is best, and a regular worming pattern should also be established. If we have to treat your cat(s) for fleas or worms an additional cost of $25.00 per treatment will be added to your account for Advantage Flea & Worm Treatment.

We reserve the RIGHT TO REFUSE boarding for any cat that is clearly unwell or we deem not fit for boarding, does not have the required inoculation status as per OUR policy or shows potentially aggressive behaviour. Whilst we take every care and precaution, boarding is entirely AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Please NOTIFY US if anyone other than yourselves is going to pick up your pet. If we do not have your authorisation we will not release your pet(s) to them.

We will do our best to ensure everything you bring is returned to you in good, clean condition but we do not accept responsibility for any items lost, damaged or destroyed.

We are NOT OPEN 25 and 26 December or 01 & 02 January, or other changeable dates that are OBSERVED AS PUBLIC HOLIDAYS like Easter. If we choose to run a client session on a public holiday a surcharge will be added to your account. For up to date pricing check our website.

A 50% DEPOSIT is required to secure your booking over the XMAS/NEW YEAR holiday period. If you cancel before 30 September (the same year) a refund minus $35.00 per booking will be returned to your nominated account. For cancellations after 30 September (the same year) NO REFUND OR CREDIT will be given. Due to the demand for accommodation during Holiday periods we reserve the right to charge you for the full period booked, should you collect your cat(s) before the end date of your original booking.

Accounts MUST be settled in full prior to, or upon pickup of your cat(s). Payments may be made by cash, online banking transfer or via EFTPOS (sorry no Credit Card option) If an agent for collection is engaged for any debt owed to us, you will incur the collection costs/fees.

Hillcrest Cat Motel may take photos of your cat(s) to display them for public viewing on their Website and/or social media. Please advise us if you do not agree to this.
